Important update from Pastor Ryan & Pastor Lisa regarding the COVID-19 virus and how it will impact Abiding Savior:
Dear friends in Christ,
After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to cancel our worship services and all gatherings at Abiding Savior until further notice.
This decision was made in light of Governor Tim Walz’s peacetime emergency declaration and the recommendations of the CDC and Health Department.
Although we will not be together for in-person worship, we can still worship together virtually. Our Sunday morning worship service will be live at 9:00 am and Wednesday evening Lenten service will be live on Facebook at 4:00 pm and all services will be available to view on our website at any time.
You can find all worship services on the Abiding Savior Facebook page. Be sure to follow and ‘Like’ our page and you will receive a notification each time we go live. Click the link below to be directed to our page:
If you miss the live stream, you can look on our Facebook page under ‘Videos’ or by following the link to our website below:
Although we cannot be together at church, we can still be church together out in the world. Jesus calls us first and foremost to love our neighbors. During this troubling time, be sure to reach out to those who may need your help. Is there someone who needs a phone call? Is there someone who needs you to get them groceries or other essentials because they cannot get out themselves or are a part of the vulnerable population?
If you are in need of help in anyway during this time (such as grocery shopping or running important, urgent errands), please call the church office, and we can try to find someone to provide the help you need.
If you are willing and able to help others in need during this time (such as by doing grocery shopping for an older member of our church family), please call the church office and let us know your willingness to help.
We trust that God will continue to guide our church during this time. Watch your email, our website, and Facebook for updates about online worship and other opportunities for connecting and spiritual growth. If you know of Abiding Savior households who do not have access to email, please help us by reaching out to them to share this news.
One of the implications of cancelling Sunday morning worship is that our regular offering will not be collected. Your financial generosity and consistency are essential to support our staff and keep current with our financial responsibilities. Even in the midst of uncertainty, we are called to be giving, knowing that our church supports others through challenges and crises.
We humbly ask you to mail your offering to the church or consider giving electronically. This is vital to the continued financial health of our family of faith at Abiding Savior.

In addition to continuing your generosity and reaching out and love to your neighbor, please continue to pray for God’s world, our nation, our community, our congregation, those who have been affected by this virus, and the brave men and women who are treating the sick and working to contain the spread of the virus.
Stay healthy, wash your hands, take care of your neighbors, and trust in God.
