Psalm 24 verse 1 says, “The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it.” This Fall we are going to explore how being rooted in our generous God brings about all of the other blessings we have in our lives. This is true of us as individuals and as a congregation. God is extremely generous. When we stop to think about it, everything belongs to God. The only question is, what are we going to do with what God has entrusted to us?
Think of all the oak trees growing around this area. They are strong and beautiful from what we can see above ground. Under the ground the roots of the tree provide the nutrients the tree needs to survive while also holding the tree steady through storms.
In our lives, we are rooted in the generosity of God. God gives to us what we need to survive. God provides more than enough in our lives. God keeps us safe in the tough parts of life by anchoring us in faith.
During the Rooted in Generosity campaign, we will explore God’s and how we can respond to God’s generosity by sharing generously, loving, caring, and serving in our own lives and as a congregation. You will find the materials for the Rooted in Generosity fall stewardship campaign below. They include the brochure and pledge card for the upcoming year.
Wherever you are at on your generosity journey, God can and will use the gifts of your time, talent, and resources to make a difference in the world.
