Join us ono Sunday, September 13 for the Blessing of the Backpacks!  All ages are invited to bring a backpack, lunchbox, workbag, or other school/work related items to receive a blessing during worship as we head into a new school year.  Bag tags will be available to take before and after worship.

Following worship, all are welcome to stay for a delicious brunch in the Fellowship Hall!

Last chance to register for the Annual Men’s Fishing Trip to be held Friday, September 18 to Sunday September 20. This year we will be going to Big Sandy Lake in McGregor and staying at Pastor Ryan’s cabin. The cost, including housing and all of our meals while at camp, bait, and gas for our boats and cars is only $130 per person. No fishing experience necessary. We will be bringing our own boats to use over the weekend so if you have a boat, bring it along.  If you don’t have a boat, don’t worry, others will share!  Please sign up on the bulletin board outside the church office. TODDLER ROOM

• We are excited to offer a toddler classroom option, serving children age 16 months – 33 months.  This room is offered 2 days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and is open from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.  The different areas of our toddler classroom encourage children to engage in a variety of activities: quiet and active, social and independent, constructive and pretend play, etc.  Most of the materials are set up for easy access, encouraging children to make their own decisions.

PRESCHOOL

• We offer a half-day class (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for children 2.5 years old and turning 4 during the preschool year.
• An optional Lunch Bunch hour is available Wednesdays from 12:00 – 1:00 PM.

PRE-K (Kindergarten readiness)

• This option is for children 4 years – 5 years old with kindergarten being their next step in their education process.
• Classes time options include:
  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Monday through Friday:  9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Monday, Wednesday Friday:  9:00AM – 12:00 PM along with Tuesday/Thursday:  9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

If you are a Thrivent member, you are eligible to apply for two Thrivent Action Team Grants up to $250 to be used for fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, educational events, or meals. The application is simple and quick. If you would like to apply for a Thrivent Action Team Grant to benefit one of the ministries of Abiding Savior, please contact the church office.

The Abiding Here for 50 Years Capital Campaign in a two-year campaign from May of 2022 through may of 2024.  The goal of the campaign is to raise $250,000 to make much needed capital improvements to the church building, our center for mission and ministry.  This campaign celebrates the fifty years of ministry God has done in and through this building and will set us up for what God has in store during the next fifty years.  To learn more about the campaign, visit our Abiding Here for 50 Years Capital Campaign page.
