High School Youth
Youth in High School at Abiding Savior have many opportunities to learn about God, grow in their faith, and of course, have lots of fun. They build lasting relationships as they learn to care about each other and about all of God’s creation. Their leadership is valued in working with younger children. High School kids take a summer trip somewhere in the USA and meet weekly on Wednesday evenings throughout the school year. There are also several High School events planned throughout the year.
Wednesday Nights
High School Youth Group meets every Wednesday weekly in Mod 2 back section from 7-8pm. You are welcome to come to the confirmation opening from 6:30-7pm to help lead activities. This year 2016-2017 we are exploring "Echo the Story". More info here.
Monthly - Last Sunday of the Month
1. Cinnamon Rolls. Help out every last Sunday of the month from 8:30am - 10:30am baking and selling cookies for a fundraiser that is ongoing for youth ministries.
2. Monthly Activity. We do different things every month. Rock climbing at Vertical Endeavors, ugly sweater parties, lock-ins, retreats to Camp Wapo, hay rides, indoor trampoline park Zero Gravity and much more!

Interested in helping out with youth ministry and supporting us as a part of our committee meetings that happen every first tuesday of the month? Let us know!!!! We need both youth and adults on this committee.

Confirmation is not only a “rite of passage” at Abiding Savior, it is also a very important time for Middle School kids to explore their faith, ask important questions, grow closer to God and one another, and believe it or, to have fun! The Pastors of Abiding Savior work closely with the Confirmation program teaching weekly lessons. During the Season of Lent, the Confirmation kids meet with a mentor in the faith and attend worship with their mentor learning from them about how to live their lives in God’s love. Students begin Confirmation in the Fall of sixth grade and are confirmed in a big celebratory service in the Fall of ninth grade.
Church Staff - Youth Director
Brad is our Director of Youth Ministries. Originally from New Brighton, MN, he is excited to work with youth in the same community that he grew up in! Prior to Abiding Savior, Brad has worked as a Director of Youth Ministry for Our Saviours Lutheran Church in East Bethel, MN. He holds two Masters degrees (Theology and Divinity), one from Bethel Seminary and one from Luther Seminary. When he's not at church, you might find Brad out on his kayak or canoe, rock climbing, or maybe out on a walk with his wife, Karen, daughter Helena and Iva and their dog.
