Summer Registration opened on February 1 and priority registration is now closed, but there is still time to get registered!
After losing a whole summer season to COVID-19 Camp Wapo is ready and so excited to welcome campers back to Camp Wapo, Ox Lake and Wilderness Canoe Base. There is a wonderful theme for 2021. JUST LOVE. Psalm 33:5 says “The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord”. This theme will help us focus on living out justice that is formed and shaped by the unearned and utterly gracious love of God, which is longer, higher, wider and deeper than we can imagine.
Start planning for summer by exploring our programs at lakewapo.org. Things will look a little different this summer but the camp mission remains the same, places of grace forming people of faith. You can learn more about COVID-19 protocols and other important changes here.
Because of a reduced capacity this summer, we do anticipate a wait list. Please don’t be discouraged by the wait list! Wapo staff is committed to working hard to get campers in where we can and so many things can change between now and summer. Register early!
Remember: To register with other Abiding Savior attendees, select the week of June 20-25 for Youth Camp (for those who’ve completed 4th – 8th grade) or July 18-20 for SEEDS (grades 1-3) and then select Abiding Savior from the list of churches.
All attendees from Abiding Savior will receive a Wapo ‘Campership’ (Scholarship funds)! We will touch base will everyone who is registered for camp with that information in the next few weeks. If cost is a major hinderance for attending summer camp, please contact the church office!
